Hjólabraut - Playground with bike track in Vesturbær
September 14, 2020 6:02 PM Iceland for Kids
In the grounds just behind Vesturbær swimming pool is an awesome little playground with a bike track. It's FREE and my kids LOVE tracks for their scooters and bikes so this is a great find for us. It's also nice that it's right next to the swimming pool so in the event of rain you can retreat into the pool. (The pool has an outdoor pool and children’s pool, water slide, four hot tubs, steam bath, sauna and gym.)

Klambrátun Park
August 18, 2020 10:21 PM Iceland for Kids
Klambratún Park is a lovely recreational area in downtown Reykjavík. It used to be a farm but was bought by Reykjavík council and in the 1960´s Reynir Vilhjálmsson designed the park that you´ll see there today.
The children´s playground has a zip wire, swings, climbing equipment, a teacup and some cute animals to climb on. We had a lovely picnic there. There is a also a basketball court, a frisbee golf course and a football field and outdoor barbecue facilities too!
